Human Technology provides custom scoliosis braces for the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). Each brace is contoured for the patient’s specific needs and is worn discreetly beneath clothing. The brace will feature areas of relief opposite the areas of pressure, and padding will provide pressure on the curve.
Below are three of the most effective scoliosis braces we offer, manufactured by Spinal Technology. If you’re ready to learn more and Live Active, contact the Human Technology office nearest you to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT with an orthotist.
PROVIDENCE NOCTURNAL SCOLIOSIS ORTHOSIS
The Providence Brace is designed for nocturnal use, which allows for a more aggressive treatment of curves and a better experience for adolescent patients. It is worn at nighttime with the patient in a supine position (lying on the back). This brace can successfully treat all scoliosis curve types including lumbar, thoracic, double major, and thoracolumbar. The brace design is able to address an apex of T6, and apices above T6 can be treated with a neck extension attached to the orthosis.
FULL-TIME SCOLIOSIS BRACE
The Full-Time scoliosis orthosis is fabricated to custom measurements for each patient. Designed to slow the progression of scoliosis in growing spines, the brace has been clinically proven to control curve progression in the Lumbar, Thoracic, and Thoracolumbar spinal curves. As the name implies, it is suitable for full-time wear, and it can treat apices up to T7.
LOW PROFILE MILWAUKEE BRACE
Addressing curves with apices higher than T7, the Milwaukee-style low-profile brace treats idiopathic scoliosis, Scheuermann’s disease, and structural kyphosis. The low-profile neck ring is held in place by an adjustable vertical bar, and the open system maximizes correction for the patient.
